In the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Religious minorities make up only about 4 percent of country’s total population. A minority which lives in the tension and repression climate created and due to institution of Sharia. The social segregation forces them to most humble work; they live segregated in ghettos and the functions that are celebrated in the seven dioceses of the country are guarded from armed volunteers for fear of attacks.

To worsen the violent atmosphere is the law 295 against blasphemy: it goes from three years of jail to capital death for who offends the religious believes. This method becomes an excuse to threaten and discriminate the minorities; any simple dispute becomes an accusation of blasphemy causing innocent victims. Trying to modify this law caused the death of minister of Minorities Shabaz Bhatti, among the others, the only catholic member at government, killed to 2nd of march 2011.
